Easy, Inexpensive, Totally WorksBy JB
I did extensive research reading lots of reviews of similar products and took a risk purchasing this one without the comfort of other users' reviews. I wanted to write a review for others who are looking for a good screen protector for their new iphone 4 so this product may get some more consideration. If you are looking for a front AND back screen protector for a good value and without complicated application, this is it.
I just applied the screen protector to my iphone and it took less than five minutes and practically applied itself. The instructions are in both pictures and words, the product itself has little tags with numbered steps (1 and 2) and were easy to follow. It comes with a little bubble-erasing card and cleaning cloth. I took the backing off the first protector, and gently applied it. I actually let go and the protector slowly sealed itself to my iphone. I chose this protector because it did not have any complicated liquid adhesives which some others had, and won't leave a sticky residue. I hardly had any bubbles to erase after I applied.
Something that isn't clear from the product description is that this is more of a "film" and not a "rigid" screen protector. There is only one set.
Additionally, this fits under my Apple-issued bumper case without puckering at the edges. It is hardly noticeable unless you look around the holes for the camera and button. It does show finger smudges easier than the glass, but this appears to be an issue with all other screen protectors. Lastly, this protector is cheap! Even though shipping was more than the product itself, the total cost was a mere $6.
Bottom line: Great value, easy application, doesn't interfere with use or bumpers/cases and gets the job done.

This shield looks great if you want a mirror on your iphone. It looks lousy if you don't want a mirror on your iphone :(
Next, how well it functions. It sticks "just" well enough that you can handle it without pulling it off. It did not leave any residue when i pulled it off. It did not stick well enough for me to use it in my belt case. When I would pull it out of the case the shield would peal up. It does appear to prevent scratching and other marks though which ultimately is what this is for.
My biggest complaint is that I don't need a mirror on my iphone. It made looking at the screen difficult in good lighting and impossible in bright light.

I have been buying screen protectors for as long as I've had a mobile device in my hand. I love it when you peel off a screen/otherwise protector and your device looks as if it just came out of the box, while you trash your gauged and scratched protector. A job well done right?
I bought these protectors from my mom after I had installed the splash ones on her iPhone4 (verizon). She complained of a "rainbow effect" when light hit the screen. Sure enough, there were mixes of colors emanating from the surface screen (green, violet,blue). And not to mention, the splash cover's front protector kept scratching myyyy ear every time I talked on the phone.
So knowing GT Max's line of apple accessories (bought a protective keyboard mat for my macbook) I have come to rely on them as far as protecting my cherished electronic devices. We bought the item for 82 cents? And maybe a dollar shipping and it came in the mail almost the next day! The covers were front and back protection for the iPhone4 (same as the splash ones) but at a fraction of the cost. There was no gooey residue or adhesive and they were easy to install.
There are no glares, no oily screens, no rainbow effects, no orange-peel feeling... Just a smooth, form-fitting screen protector at a great price. That's what I like about this product. It's simple, It does what it says its made for, and its price is justified! Highly recommend getting these before buying a more expensive alternative.
